George Zimmerman shot at during ongoing dispute with another man in Florida

George Zimmerman was shot and wounded Monday afternoon in Florida.

Police said Zimmerman was shot in the face, but his injuries were minor, reported WFTV-TV.

Zimmerman was involved in a shooting in Lake Mary about 12:45 p.m. as part of an ongoing dispute with another man in an apparent “road rage incident,” police said.

A bullet hole was spotted in the passenger side window of Zimmerman’s truck, whichWESH-TV said viewers might recognize from previous incidents.

Police Chief Steve Bracknell told the Orlando Sentinel that Zimmerman did not shoot, but was fired upon by the other driver.

A witness said he recognized Zimmerman, who got out of his truck and walked to an ambulance that happened to be parked nearby.

“He walked normally into the ambulance, so he wasn’t being helped or nothing,” said witness Ricardo Berrare.

Zimmerman was acquitted in the 2012 shooting death of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin after claiming he acted in self-defense.

He said in March that he had a clear conscience in the shooting, which he described as part of God’s plan.

Since then, Zimmerman has been arrested three times on domestic violence charges, but he was never prosecuted because the victims recanted in each case.

**update** It is being reported that the bullet just missed his face. The original source had the story wrong.
