William Cooper Predicts 9/11, Marxist Takeover, False Flags

marxist-victory

“There will be a war in this country, a civil war to restore, not a revolution, but a civil war to restore our constitutional republican government. Now at the same time that’s going on, communist and marxist underground forces will try to begin a revolution, in order to institute a marxist/socialist/communist government as a result of the civil war.”

Graham: Authorities Seeking ‘Third Man’ in Boston Bombings

Sen. Lindsey Graham said on Thursday that a third man is being sought as s possible suspect in last week’s Boston Marathon terror bombings — a Muslim convert who may have had ties to the 26-year old man who was killed in gun battle with police on Friday.

“We now know of a third person,” the South Carolina Republican, a member of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, told Wolf Blitzer on CNN. “The young man tells us that they were self-radicalized from watching videos.

“Now, we’re looking for someone who was close to the older brother,” he said, referring to Tamerlan Tsarnaev. He died in the gunfight with police.

A man described by Tamerlan’s uncle only as Misha is believed to be a Muslim convert who steered the 26-year-old to a more radical form of Islam. The man has not been found by authorities.

“Somehow, he just took his brain,” Tamerlan’s uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, told The Daily Mail this week. “He just brainwashed him completely.”

Tsarni, who lives in Maryland, said that he recalled that Tamerlan’s father increasingly grew worried about Misha’s influence on his son. They had met in 2009.

According to the Daily Mail, all that is known about Misha is that he is Armenian, in his 30s, and has distinctive red beard. He no longer lives in the Cambridge, Mass., area.

Meanwhile, Graham told Blitzer on Thursday that with the addition of Misha to the case, “the plot thickens.”

“The young man said ‘nobody was involved — we became self-radicalized,’” he added, referring to Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, who was arrested on Friday after an intense manhunt and remained hospitalized and under heavy police guard in Boston on Thursday.

“Chechnyan rebels have joined al-Qaida in Afghanistan and Iraq. That is a really dangerous part of the world. I’d like to know who this third person was. Clearly, they did more than watch videos.”

He added that the Obama White House failed in designating Tsarnaev as a criminal suspect instead of an “enemy combatant,” which would have allowed for interrogation for terrorism-related purposes.

“I’m not trying to solve a crime,” Graham told CNN. “I’m trying to enhance our security and prevent a future attack.

“The Obama administration made a mistake by not looking at this man, given his ties to the radical Islamic attack Boston faced as a potential enemy combatant. I don’t want to undercut his rights in court. I want to make sure we’re gathering intelligence — and I think we’ve lost that.”

In addition, the senator said that now that the United States is convinced that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has used chemical weapons against his people — defined as a “red line” by Obama that would trigger a U.S. response — the White House must “rally the international community to stop this war.

Other methods include “giving safe haven to the rebels, putting together a ‘no-fly’ zone to ground the Syrian Air Force and neutralize their tank advantage to allow the rebels to fight back,” Graham said.

“There are a bunch of radicals in the midst of the rebels,” he added. “The right arms to the right people.”

Graham said, however, that he was more concerned about Syria’s extensive stockpile of chemical weapons.

“We need to have a plan the day after Assad falls to go in and secure these chemical weapon sites and destroy these weapons before they get in the wrong hands,” he told CNN.

Washington planned Boston bombings: Republican state legislator

The Republican state rep from New Hampshire Stella Tremblay of New Hampshire.
The US government is responsible for the Boston Marathon twin bombings which killed three people and left hundreds wounded, says a state legislator.

The Republican state rep from New Hampshire Stella Tremblay of New Hampshire said on April 19 that the Boston Marathon twin bombings and subsequent search for suspects was a plot by the US federal government.

“The Boston Marathon was a Black Ops terrorist attack,” said Tremblay, calling the official account of the incident suspicious.

The US government has bombarded innocent people with “drones and now terrorist attacks. Sad day, but a wake up to all of us,” she added.

Meanwhile, US officials identified two brothers - 19-year-old Dzhokhar and 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev - as the alleged suspects, who were both living in Cambridge, Massachusetts at the time of the attacks.

Dzhokhar was wounded and later captured, while his brother Tamerlan was killed in a shootout with police on April 19.

“One suspect killed, the other one will be too before they even have a chance to speak…First there was a suspect then there wasn’t,” said Tremblay.

On April 15, the twin bombings near the finish line of the Boston Marathon killed three people and injured more than 250 others.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving suspect in the bombings, has been charged with using a weapon of mass destruction.

On April 21, UN Human Rights Council’s Palestine monitor Richard Falk said the twin bombings were a direct response to Washington’s foreign policy in world affairs, specifically in the Middle East, which is experiencing drone attacks on innocent women and children.

This came as US President Barack Obama recently called for an expansion of drone operations in Pakistan and other countries.

The Brothers Tsarnaev: The Lee Harvey Oswalds of the Boston bombings?

A speaker of Russian, he traveled to Russia and back on ultra-sensitive missions – supposedly without any spy services noticing. Yet it turns out that he was followed for years by the FBI! Framed for a murderous crime on a crowded street, exonerated by crime scene photographs, declared innocent by loved ones and by all who knew him, caught by police after being framed for “murdering a police officer,” gunned down by agents of the National Security State after his arrest to prevent him from proclaiming his innocence in court…haven’t we heard this story before? Are we talking about Lee Harvey Oswald – or the Brothers Tsarnaev?

Fifty years ago, Lee Harvey Oswald was framed for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Today, the same National Security State that killed JFK still rules America, using the same tools of murder and deception. And it appears to have set up two “Oswalds” – Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev – to take the blame for the Boston Marathon bombings.

The parallels between Oswald and the brothers Tsarnaev are uncanny.

First parallel: All three have been exonerated by crime scene photographs.

Eyewitness testimony established that Oswald must have been on or near the ground floor of the Texas Book Depository  not the sixth floor “sniper’s nest”  when JFK was shot. This testimony is supported by a picture of Oswald standing in the street outside the Depository as the presidential motorcade goes by.

Expert photographic analysis has revealed that the figure in this picture is Oswald, not Lovelady, as JFK assassination expert Dr. James Fetzer explains in his article “JFK Special: Oswald was in the Doorway, after all!

The photographic record of the JFK assassination, like that of the Boston bombings, not only exonerates the patsy, but reveals who really committed the crime.

Photographic evidence places Edward Lansdale, America’s top political assassinations specialist, and CIA agent and future president George H.W. Bush standing in front of the Texas School Book Depository running the JFK assassination. This evidence is discussed in the article “Did George H.W. Bush Coordinate a CIA Hit Team?” by Richard Hooke and James Fetzer.

Photographs of the Boston bombing similarly exonerate Dzokhar Tsarnaev, who is seen in this photograph leaving after the bombing with his backpack still on.

If Dzokhar Tsarnaev was framed, that means that his brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was also framed.

Crime scene photographs show us who really planted the bombs. The bomber was a member of a paramilitary operative team wearing black caps with identical skull logos. The photo below shows the bomber fleeing the crime scene without his backpack. That backpack has a white square on top. The paramilitary bomber is the only person in any of the photos with a backpack featuring that white square.

Here is the same backpack after the explosion.

So the Brothers Tsarnaev, like Lee Harvey Oswald, are innocent patsies. But Oswald, unlike the Brothers Tsarnaev, was able to speak for himself. After his arrest, and before being gunned down in the Dallas Police Department basement by CIA-linked mob hit-man Jack Ruby, Oswald said: “I’m a patsy.”

The Brothers Tsarnaev may never be allowed to speak in their own defense; fifty years after Oswald’s “I’m a patsy,” the National Security State appears to have learned that lesson well. Indeed, the Israeli doctors tasked with treating Dzokhar Tsarnaev in the hospital reported that “he may never speak again.” (Why were Israeli doctors assigned an American national security case? Perhaps for the same reason that an Israeli team of terror specialists flew to Boston, on a trip organized before the bombing, to take charge of the “investigation.” After all, Israel is the global “A Team” of false-flag terrorism.)

Dzokhar Tsarnaev did speak out, in a way, in his own defense  by endorsing 9/11 truth before he was framed for the bombing. Using his Twitter account, he wrote: “Idk why it’s hard for many of you to accept that 9/11 was an inside job.” That tweet, like Oswald’s “I’m a patsy,” may go down in history. It strongly suggests Dzokhar’s innocence. (Why would any Muslim who knew 9/11 was an inside job  as 80% of Muslims do, according to polls  want to commit terrorism whose only beneficiaries are Zionists and imperialists?)

Though the Brothers Tsarnaev will not be allowed to defend themselves, their loved ones are doing it for them. Their mother, father, and aunt all say they are innocent patsies, framed by agents of the National Security state.

Oswald’s girlfriend, Judith Vary Baker, has similarly exonerated Oswald. Listen to my interview with Judith Vary Baker at

Another Tsarnaev-Oswald parallel: They were Russian speakers who were shadowed for years by the FBI before being framed for a spectacular crime.

Oswald was not only shadowed by the FBI, he was actually reporting to the FBI on a regular basis during the years between his return from Russia in 1961 and his murder on November 24th, 1963.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, his parents tell us, was shadowed for years by the FBI before being set up as the patsy in the Boston Marathon bombings.

The FBI, we may recall, is the agency developed by arch-criminal J.Edgar Hoover as America’s gestapo. Though most low-level FBI agents are honest, the higher-ups are psychopathic criminals  mobsters with badges.

The FBI organized the plot and built the bomb that devastated the World Trade Center in 1993. FBI informant Emad Salem, who hatched the plot and delivered the bomb as part of his FBI duties, secretly recorded a conversation with his FBI handler protesting about how the FBI delivered a real bomb, not a dummy bomb as promised.

It is well known, even among mainstream scholars, that the FBI has organized virtually every “Muslim terrorist” incident of the past decade. As Judge Napolitano admitted on Fox TV, the FBI has been involved in at least 17 false-flag plots to attack America since 9/11.

Another uncanny parallel between Lee Harvey Oswald and Tamerlan Tsarnaev is that both were earmarked “enemies” (Tsarnaev a “radical Muslim,” Oswald a “communist”) who traveled to Russia on mysterious errands  and both, according to official pronouncements, managed to pass completely undetected by the national security apparatus of both nations! In reality, both were being run by US federal agencies  Oswald to feed top secret U2 data to the Russians to make the fake U2 shootdown plausible and destroy Eisenhower’s detente; and Tsarnaev to interface with CIA-Mossad assets in the “Chechen al-Qaeda community.”

“Al-Qaeda-linked radical Muslims” in Chechnya are allies, not enemies, of the US. Their “terrorism” is entirely directed at Russia, and they are armed, trained, and sent on their missions by the US government. As I wrote in a recent article, the correct translation of “al-Qaeda” is “The CIA Database.”

So if Dzokhar Tsarnaev was a terrorist  which seems unlikely  he was part of a group controlled by US government agencies. But it seems much more probable that Tsarnaev was an Oswald-style patsy: A pawn on the grand chessboard who was deemed expendable, arrested, and then murdered to keep him from talking.

Like Oswald, who was murdered in the Dallas police station while in custody, it appears that both Tsarnaev brothers were in perfectly good health when they were arrested – and then were shot after their arrests. Dzokhar Tsarnaev’s aunt has positively identified Dzokhar as the “naked man” arrested by Boston police, uninjured and in perfectly good health. And helicopter videos show Dzhokhar Tsarnaev looking healthy and uninjured as he climbs out of the boat he was hiding in. (The government says he was critically wounded but look at the images yourself and decide.)

Bottom line: The US National Security State and its Israeli handlers  not the Brothers Tsarnaev  is the real perpetrator of the Boston bombings…and the real enemy of the American people. The complete lockdown of Boston, which removed eyewitnesses from the streets and allowed the frame-ups and shootings of the Brothers Tsarnaev, is a taste of the kind of martial law and draconian repression that is in store for the American people if they do not rise up in rebellion against the criminals posing as their guardians.

Evidence Mounts Boston Bombers Were FBI Assets

As tens of thousands of members of the public have come out to show support for the alleged Boston Bomber as continues to mount the suspects were being handled by the FBI in a terror plot they failed to foil.

At the center of the effort are calls to have the United States government investigated for the role it is suspected in playing in the Boston Bombings.

In all over 15,000 people have joined the Facebook page calling for alleged bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to be released and thousands more have signing an online petition to the White House web page along with numerous other petitions, events and campaigns created in his support.

As more people turn to media sources outside of the control of the federal government the more steam the effort will gain.

In fact, even members of the government are openly calling for an investigation to government’s involvement in the bombings and not only pointing out on the record but to media as well.

What we know now is that the United States government was tipped off to alleged Boston Bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s ties to an underground militant group created and supported by the CIA which is run by a terrorist known as Russia’s Bin Laden.

This information was revealed through Russia Today and was made public while the FBI was still hiding the fact they had been tipped off that Tamerlan made an overseas visit during which he was seen with terrorists with known ties to the CIA in 2011.

After the FBI was forced to admit they were in fact contacted by Russian intelligence they stated Tamerlan was cleared after being investigated in 2011.

The FBI claimed the investigation ended with a request to the Russian government for more information after which there was no further contact and no further information supplied.

We now know that is not the truth and Tamerlan had in fact been put on the United States terrorist watch list and the top-secret no fly-list.

Despite being placed on these lists, Tamerlan was still allowed to fly out of the country back to Russia where he once again was observed meeting up with the terrorist cell by Russian Intelligence.

During his stay he also is said to have attended a CIA-sponsored workshop which is funded by the United States government to promote democracy overseas and achieves such means through radicalizing local populations into taking up revolution against the government in power.

This information, which again was known to the United States government whom the media continues to quote in blatantly lying the bombers had no ties to overseas terrorist organizations, was again released just today by the Russian media.

The workshop was held by the NGO “Fund of Caucasus”, which is funded by the CIA-linked Jamestown Foundation, and holds workshops such as “Struggle for independence of the Caucasus” and The anniversary of genocide of the Chechen and Ingush peoples which are aimed at destabilizing the region by stirring anger against the current Russian government.

Workshop Description: “The evening dedicated to the 68th anniversary of the Chechen and Ingush peoples deportation to Central Asia in 1944, was organized by the “Fund of Caucasus” on February 23rd, 2012. The evening was held at the conference-hall of business-center “Kalas”. This tragedy – mass deportation of the Chechns and Ingushes – was evaluated as a part of general imperialistic policy of the Russian Empire and totalitarian Soviet regime.”
Further thickening the plot is the recent revelation that the bombers’ Uncle was also on the CIA’s payroll through the USAID foreign aid front and has ties to intelligence agents in his former homeland where he was a well-connected oil-executive with crime to Russian crime bosses and involved in ring of offshore oil company’s Swiss investigators learned where laundering billions of dollars for the purposes of international corruption of western public officials.

Yet despite these clear ties, the FBI lied about what they knew and allowed him to fly anyway.

The corporate media has also confirmed today that the United States government was contacted multiple times by Russian Intelligence about Tamerlan’s activities and ties to those overseas terrorists.

In fact, the Washington Post reported today that CIA was contacted directly and they had also placed Tamerlan on the terrorist watch list.

Why would the FBI first fail to disclose they were tipped off about Tamerlan? Then lie about their knowledge of Tamerlan’s activities claiming they had no knowledge of terrorist activities or ties to foreign terrorist groups? Why are they still lying about it and why the media is continuing to echo their lies at the same time reporting contradictory information in the same exact reports revealing the feds were in fact notified, several times, and continue to allow this plot to happen?

More than likely it will soon be revealed, that like so many previous terror plots the FBI was in fact handling the Boston Bombers.

Perhaps they intending to conduct a sting operation like planned when they enticed the 1993 World Trade Center bomber into conducting and attack – which went horribly wrong and ended up with the World Trade Center actually being bombed.

The conspiracy theories surrounding the 9/11 bombings fall into the category of “the government let it happen” verse “the government made it happen” offering up numerous motives for each case.

The conspiracy theories around Boston Bombings will be no different as more and more information is revealed connecting the bombers to the CIA and the “let it happen” conspiracy becomes more of a fact than fantasy.

Indeed, special operations mercenaries were photographed in operation at the Boston Bombings.

Live bomb drills were being conducted during the event, drills which were first openly reported and admitted with the media now claiming they no longer occurred.

The government’s narrative continues to change and as it does so does the information the corporate media echoed.

As that information changes the government controlled corporate media will undoubtedly continue their all out crusade to conform the public opinion against doubting the government narrative or supporting the movement to free the alleged suspect who is looking more and more everyday like he was set up as his family has claimed since the outset.

The media’s campaign of disinformation, in which we even, sees the media cannibalizing itself, is one that has all of the hallmarks of a Black Ops information operation campaign not dissimilar to the CIA’s famed operation mockingbird.

Luckily the public’s distrust in their reporting has led to a massive tuning of the propaganda machine perhaps much more than has ever been seen before.

Of course, this is not without good reason as there is plenty of proof of repeated lies and manipulation by the America’s state run press.

This is not conspiracy either but a provable fact openly admitted by Former President George Bush In this YouTube video, watch him admit he plants fake news stories for political agendas.

Bush admits he participates in the long-standing federal government practice of planting fake propaganda news stories in US media.

In this clip, Bush tells a reporter it has been a long-standing federal government practice to pay journalists to run fake pre-packaged news stories, which serve as government propaganda to further political agendas.

Or take last year’s infamous CNN scandal in which they were caught running a staged interview with the Syria activist who had become the corporate media’s poster child in drumming up support for war in Syria.

<

~ Syria Activist Danny Caught Staging Complete Fake CNN Interviews ~<

Syria activist Danny, the poster child to justify a military invasion in Syria, has been caught staging entire an entire CNN interview including directing fake gunfire off stage.

Raw video footage of the Syria activist Danny as he waits to do a live video interview with CNN shows him directing off-stage fake gunfire and explosions, as well as being directed to tell CNN he has been retrieving the bodies of civilians from buildings that collapse due to Syria army mortar fire. It also shows Danny totally exaggerating a sense of fear and urgency as he goes from being totally calm, smiling and even somewhat bored before the on air interview starts to acting totally scared, hysterical and pretending he is in the middle of a war zone as soon as the actual interview starts.

I have condensed footage of the original video to remove 5 uneventful minutes of watching him waiting around before the interview because most people will not stay interested long enough to get to the parts were he starts directing his off-stage actors to start the faked off stage gunfire. Also below are two detailed reports from the Intel Hub and Infowars on this incident, which outline more faked activist reports and other crimes committed by the rebels.

Of course, as many know this practice is nothing new.

See this video of fake green screened CNN footage during the first Iraq war in the 90s or even thisfootage of the CIA admitting to planting fake stories.

There are numerous examples, with dozens of stories out of CNN, The BBC, Al-Jazeera and others exposed as false government propaganda dealing with Syria just last year.

Now that we have established that it is not insane to believe the conspiracy theories claiming the media lies but rather it is an insane to accept the government’s promulgated conspiracy that the media always tells the truth let us continue with the Boston Bombings.

CANADIAN “FOILED TERROR PLOT” AND THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY

In his first court appearance since the “foiled terror plot” Toronto-area resident Raed Jaser maintains he is innocent and “plans to defend himself vigorously” against the charges. He is currently facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder, participating in a terrorist organization and conspiracy to interfere with transportation facilities. Knowing that the FBI, CSIS and the RCMP have a history of setting up innocent men through CSIS informants I decided to ask his lawyer John Norris if any of these agencies had any contact with Jaser during their monitoring process over the past year, if they were infiltrated by a CSIS informant and why were the FBI and the department of homeland security involved in this case.

Boston bombing: citizen video-analysts creating major problems for controlled media

by Jon Rappoport

April 23, 2013

www.nomorefakenews.com

You’re a reporter for a TV news outlet.

You’ve become aware of a disturbing trend. Thousands of private citizens are now analyzing video and photographs of crime scenes and posting their findings.

They’re hounds, and they can’t be stopped. They’re looking at news footage, casual video, photos, and what they’re coming up with challenges the official story lines your network pushes.

Some of their analysis is ridiculous, but some of it isn’t.

For example, video footage of the first bomb in Boston doesn’t appear to show any shrapnel damage to the fencing near the explosion, or to the blue canopy just above the street. You, the reporter, wonder about that.

The now-famous 78-year-old runner who fell down in the street, just after the first explosion? Security personnel wearing yellow jackets were standing closer to the bomb, but they didn’t wobble or duck or waver. You, the reporter, wonder about that, too.

You, the reporter, see a photo of a storefront which was presumably right next to the first bomb. The windows are blown out. But all the glass is lying in the street, which would indicate the force of the explosion was coming from inside the store. How is that possible, you ask yourself.

Then there are the quickly circulating photos of the man in the wheelchair. He’s missing large parts of both legs. People are pushing the chair. His legs are bleeding. But other posted photos? Do they show he already was wearing prosthetics? Is it true he should already be dead from the massive blood loss? You, the reporter, are disturbed by this.

You also look at several photos of the pressure-cooker bomb. In the twisted metal remains, you see discoloration, but no signs the nails or ball bearings in the bomb penetrated the pressure cooker or pitted it or ended up embedded in it.

You look at photos of men standing near the Marathon finish line, the men in identical uniforms, who have variously been described as Navy Seals, Coast Guard, and Craft International security personnel.

What were they doing there? Running a drill? Watching suspects or patsies or bomb-planters? What was going on?

You look at a photo of the younger Tsarnaev brother leaving the scene after the bombs went off. He’s still…wearing his backpack? And another photo, the one of the ripped-apart backpack on the ground. Is that a white square on it? Because one of the Seal-Craft-Coast Guard guys had a white square on his intact backpack…and is that him, leaving the scene of the bombing without that backpack? Hmmm…

You, the reporter, now face several quandaries.

First, if you decide to look into all this, you’ll have to do actual work. Investigation. That isn’t part of your job description. You basically talk to official sources, obtain their statements, repeat them, and sound like you know what you’re talking about. Investigation? What’s that?

Second, if you undertake a serious inquiry, you’re going to have to verify that all these photos and all this video footage are pristine and haven’t been altered or cropped in order to mislead.

You’ll have to find experts to help you. More work. You’re already feeling exhausted, just thinking about it.

On the other hand, your network has shown faked and cropped photos and edited footage in the past, to slant stories. So maybe you can get by with less work.

However, there is a rule in your business. Reporters aren’t allowed to follow their noses. They aren’t allowed to do investigations on their own. They most definitely aren’t permitted to do technical analysis of evidence, like crime-scene photos or video. No, all technical interpretation has to come from government agencies.

If you go off the reservation, you’ll take heavy hits from your bosses.

But all this is meaningless. It’s just mental masturbation, because, finally, you know there is no possible way your producer will allow you to present evidence that the official Boston scenario has gaping holes in it.

Your own network has the explicit job of promoting that scenario.

You’d be torpedoing your own people. Professional suicide. Just walking into your producer’s office and pointing to issues raised by private-citizen analysis of video? It would put you on a watch list.

Your producer would think, “This guy’s gone soft in the head. He wants to pursue a story on his own. He must be some kind of grandstanding goof. He doesn’t have a firm grip on things. He doesn’t know what his job really is. And he wants to raise doubts about the Boston bombing? Wow…”

To the degree that you have any shred of conscience left, you’re in a bind. Maybe it’s the moment to offload that last bit of idealism and go completely corporate. It’s not as if you’ve been challenging your bosses; you’ve just been asking yourself questions privately. So what’s the problem? Just stop asking the questions.

Maybe you’re depressed. Maybe you should go in and see a shrink and get a script for Zoloft. Something to take the edge off. Of course, then you’d have to cut back on your drinking. Screw that. Just up the booze. Have a few more every night after work. Make the coffee stronger in the morning.

Wait. An idea is forming.

It’s coming.

Sit there. Let it formulate.

Mmmm….

Yes. Yes! Here it is. Some of these video hounds are saying no one at all was hurt or killed in Boston; the whole bombing thing was a hoax. Well, tell that to the doctors at the hospitals who were doing amputations.

Okay. Okay. Now you’re on to something. You can feel it. There’s an obvious way to destroy all this wildcat video evidence in one fell swoop and, at the same time, endear yourself to your bosses.

They’ll be grateful. You can rack up some brownie points. They’ll think of you as a company man. A tough defender of the realm, their realm.

Anyway, you’ve got a deadline to meet. You have to put something together. It may as well be this:

Take the most radical opinions these video hounds are promoting, package them all into one article, and imply that every hound is a complete freak. All their video analysis must be wrong, because they’re all crazy. It’s the old rejection by generality. And by ad hominem. By straw man. Didn’t you learn something about those logical fallacies in college? Time to put them to use.

Do the conspiracy-theorist thing. Say these weirdos have far too much time on their hands. And what else? They’re dangerous. Sure. Refer back to that FBI dude who’s in charge of the Boston investigation, DesLauriers, who said people should focus on helping the investigation by looking at certain photos and no others.

How did he put it? He said there were irrelevant photos out there, and if people tipped the FBI to them, they’d overload agents and delay the search for the bombers.

That’s it. These private video hounds are dangerous. They’re giving people too much information.

So they have crazy ideas, one. They’re saying nobody was hurt, there were no bombs, two. They’re claiming all the bleeding people at the Marathon were actors brought in from some outfit in Colorado, three. They’re saying these massacre ops are designed to shut down freedom in America, four. They’re dangerous, five.

Roll all that up into a ball and you’re good to go. Whatever they’ve actually got in terms of troubling and disturbing and truthful video and photo evidence will disappear in a sea of ridicule.

Perfect.

Imply there are two basic classes of people: the normals and the crazies. The crazies are threatening the rest of us. They’re multiplying like fruit flies. They’re swarming the Internet. They’re disrespecting the wounded and dead—don’t forget that one. How dare they come out with all this insanity as the families are grieving and in turmoil.

Yeah. There is only one true stream of information, and the public has to know it. It comes from the major networks. There has to be a central story line, because if there isn’t, the whole country will fall into chaos. Don’t actually say that, but realize you’re on the side of the angels here. You’re standing tall against the barbarians at the gates.

Right. You’re giving the audience a choice. Do they want to be nuts, or do they want to be normal. Normal is the wave of the future. Soon, that’s all there will be. The others will be wiped out. They have no cache. They have no right to challenge the order of things.

Isn’t that what Arthur Jensen said in the movie Network? There is one planetary, galactic order of things, and everybody has live under it.

Expand the piece. Take it all the way back to 9/11, and the loonies who claimed the towers couldn’t have been taken down by the planes. Yeah. They said there were bombs inside the buildings. They said Building 7 didn’t go down from a fire. Idiots.

Why not do history? Makes you sound smarter. JFK. “Oswald didn’t act alone.” That’s where it all started, that’s how the conspiracy germ spread. It was a disease.

That’s a great metaphor. The plague of conspiracy theories. It had a ground zero, in Dallas, on November 22nd, 1963. From there, the virus moved through time. It’s all one epidemic.

Call a few shrinks. Get comments from them. A psychological pandemic. These guys always want face time. Give it to them. Let them speculate on why the plague is accelerating.

Geez. Maybe this could become a three-part series. “We investigate the trend of conspiracy thinking. Why is it happening? Who are these people? Where do they come from? What do they really want?”

Then…oh yeah. We find some guy who was a conspiracy nut but he woke up and realized he was about to go off the cliff, so he stepped back. He was addicted. It was an addiction. He had alienated his whole family and all his friends.

Then he had a revelation. He saw what had happened to him. Get a few juicy quotes. “I needed a way to rebel against society, so I chose this. It was a fad. I joined up. It was a kind of cult. I made new friends. But then I saw that these people weren’t like me. I was ruining my life. I was walking around paranoid all the time…I finally came to my senses…”

Nail down the place and time when he woke up. Maybe take a camera crew there. “This was the spot. I was walking along this stretch of beach one night, all alone, and it hit me. I was isolated. I had no ties left to my community…”

Yeah. Plays very well. Do you want to be in the cold, on the outside, or do you want to be near the hearth, where the tribe is safe?

With a series, a three-part “investigation,” you could establish yourself as the go-to guy whenever a new conspiracy theory pops up. They’d come to you. You, the expert. This could be a very good career move.

And why pretend? That’s what you’re in this for, isn’t it? A career? So stop fooling around with all the freakazoid photo and video evidence. Just go for it.

It’s a war. The independent journalists and bloggers and video loons are trying to steal food out of your kids’ mouths. You can lie down in the road or you can fight back. If you’re going to fight, take off the gloves. Screw that half-way stuff.

Who knows more about conspiracies than anyone else? The CIA, the FBI, the intelligence community. Hell, after a few years of attacking the weirdos and nutballs out there, you might graduate up into a more distinguished and rarefied atmosphere, where real conspiracies are planned and carried out for the sake of national security. The real stuff, the right stuff.

You could become a “our national intelligence correspondent.” Wouldn’t that be something. You’d have access to the big boys and some of their secrets. You’d prove you could be trusted.

You’d never have to look at another foot of video put together by losers who’ll never get within a thousand miles of real news.

You’ll never have to wonder whether you’re doing the right thing. You’ll live in a place that’s far from the madding crowd. You’ll drink single malt instead of rotgut. You’ll sit down with senators and lobbyists and bankers and diplomats.

You’ll turn into a controlled drunk who knows when to start and when to stop. You’ll find inner peace and all that crap, knowing you’re serving the best interests of your country and the people who own it and run it.

You’ll write a movie script about the Agency stopping a terrorist plot in New York. You’ll meet people from Hollywood.

One night, high above the city of angels, a beautiful actress will take you in her arms…

And some day, through your CIA connections, you’ll learn about a brain-bending scandal that’s brewing under the surface of Washington, and they’ll give you the green light to go out there and dig up the information you already have in your back pocket.

You’ll be Bob Woodward and the doors will open for you wherever you go.

You’ll be unstoppable.

You’ll be the man who finds out all the secrets.

Except the real ones.

Government hurries debate on anti-terrorism bill

MPs are debating a controversial anti-terrorism bill that would reinstate provisions for preventive arrest and investigative hearings, measures that were part of a 2001 bill but were “sunsetted” in 2007.

The bill was introduced in the Senate last year, and it’s suddenly in third reading in the House, with government members debating it with a sense of urgency.

The bill will bring back two central provisions that were originally instituted by the Chrétien government after the 9/11 attacks in New York but were “sunsetted” after a five-year period.

One provision allowed for “preventative detention,” meaning someone can be held in custody for up to three days just on suspicion of being involved in terrorism but without a charge being laid. The person can then be bound by certain probationary conditions for up to a year, and if he or she refuses, can be jailed for 12 months.

The second is an “investigative hearing” in which someone suspected of having knowledge of a terrorist act can be forced to answer questions, and if he or she refuses, can be imprisoned for up to 12 months. The objective of this clause is not to prosecute the person for a criminal offence, but merely to gather information.

These two provisions from the 2001 act expired after five years, but in 2007 when the government wanted to extend them for a further three years, the Liberal opposition led by then-leader Stéphane Dion refused approval. Another attempt to restore the provisions died on the order paper when an election was called.

Now the Conservative government has a majority and can reinstate the measures on its own, but the Liberals say they will support the bill. The NDP opposes the bill and is questioning the timing of the government suddenly moving the bill into an emergency-like debate, accusing it of “being asleep since December.”

A crime to leave Canada to plan for terrorism

The bill, entitled the Combating Terrorism Act, also introduces a new provision, making it illegal to leave the country with the intention of committing an act of terrorism which could apply, for instance, to anyone planning on attending an al-Qaeda training camp, or plotting an act with others overseas. The new provision seems designed for arrests and charges in the early planning stages before the person even leaves Canada.

The bill also stiffens penalties for certain acts. Anyone who facilitates an act of terrorism by the communication of false information, such as the loan of a cellphone to be used for a false bomb threat, can be imprisoned for up to 14 years. The same 14-year maximum is in place for anyone who harbours or conceals someone who is contemplating or has committed a terrorist act.

There are also changes that recognize that some of the secrecy enshrined in the original act has been challenged by the courts. The old bill allowed an investigative hearing or a sealing order for court documents to happen without any public notice if the government claimed that national security was at risk.

In the new act, there’s a recognition that a federal court can make documents public. In the past, even an application for a ban on information by the government was secret. Now a court can order the application be made public.

The same five-year sunset clause is in the new bill.

NDP argues bill threatens civil liberties

In debate Monday, the NDP argued that the bill threatens the civil liberties of Canadians and that there was no evidence offered by the Conservatives that the bill is necessary. More than one NDP MP pointed out that two individuals accused of plotting terrorism were apprehended Monday without the assistance of the provisions of the anti-terror legislation.

Conservative MP Joan Crockett pointed out that a new provision proposed in the bill targets those who are planning “to receive terrorist training.”

Crockett said that clause could have applied to the two men from London, Ont., who are alleged to have participated in an attack on a gas plant in Algeria. Many people in her riding of Calgary Centre, she said, worry about danger at gas plants when they travel overseas to work in them.

Traffic on social media Monday speculated about the coincidence of the government rushing debate on the anti-terrorism bill on the same day the RCMP announced a major terrorism arrest involving an alleged attack planned on a Via Rail train in the Greater Toronto Area.

Asked by reporters about the timing of the hastily rescheduled debate, NDP defence critic Jack Harris said, “It is a little bit odd that we’re having it the same day we’re dealing with new legislation in the House of Commons, legislation that was put into effect ten years ago and frankly never used, and sunsetted five years ago and now being brought back again today, that’s certainly suspicious.”

“Whether the timing of the Mounties is predicated by that, that I don’t know. I would certainly hope that the Minister of Public Safety wouldn’t seek an announcement of this kind but I wouldn’t want to impugn the motives of the RCMP in this,” Harris said.

In a brief statement Monday afternoon in the foyer of the House of Commons Monday afternoon, Public Safety Minister Vic Toews said, “Preventing, countering and prosecuting terrorism is a priority for our government. Canada will not tolerate terrorist activity and we will not be used as a safe haven for terrorists or those who support terrorist activity.”

Debate continues on the bill on Tuesday and will last until the speaker’s list of MPs is exhausted, unless the government gives notice of its intention to move time allocation to bring the third reading stage to a close as early as Wednesday.

The legislation’s last vote will follow the conclusion of this final debate and is expected before the end of this week.

Boston bombing will boost U.S. support for Israel, says Netanyahu aide

Ron Dermer, a diplomatic advisor to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and candidate for the post of Israeli ambassador to Washington, told a closed meeting of U.S. Jewish leaders in New York last week that the Boston marathon bombings would increase American support for Israel - just as that support increased following the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

Video of Ron Dermer. His comment about the Boston bombing building support for Israel is at 1:22.

On the day of the 9-11 attacks, former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was asked what the attacks would mean for US-Israeli relations. His quick reply was: “It’s very good… Well, it’s not good, but it will generate immediate sympathy (for Israel)”

Bloomberg Says Interpretation of Constitution Will ‘Have to Change’ After Boston Bombing

Mayor Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Ray Kelly. (Photo John Moore/Getty Images)

In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Monday the country’s interpretation of the Constitution will “have to change” to allow for greater security to stave off future attacks.

“The people who are worried about privacy have a legitimate worry,” Mr. Bloomberg said during a press conference in Midtown. “But we live in a complex word where you’re going to have to have a level of security greater than you did back in the olden days, if you will. And our laws and our interpretation of the Constitution, I think, have to change.”

Mr. Bloomberg, who has come under fire for the N.Y.P.D.’s monitoring of Muslim communities and other aggressive tactics, said the rest of the country needs to learn from the attacks.

“Look, we live in a very dangerous world. We know there are people who want to take away our freedoms. New Yorkers probably know that as much if not more than anybody else after the terrible tragedy of 9/11,” he said.

“We have to understand that in the world going forward, we’re going to have more cameras and that kind of stuff. That’s good in some sense, but it’s different from what we are used to,” he said.

The mayor pointed to the gun debate and noted the courts have allowed for increasingly stringent regulations in response to ever-more powerful weapons.

“Clearly the  Supreme Court has recognized that you have to have different interpretations of the Second Amendment and what it applies to and reasonable gun laws … Here we’re going to to have to live with reasonable levels of security,” he said, pointing to the use of magnetometers to catch weapons in city schools.

“It really says something bad about us that we have to do it. But our obligation first and foremost is to keep our kids safe in the schools; first and foremost, to keep you safe if you go to a sporting event; first and foremost is to keep you safe if you walk down the streets or go into our parks,” he said. “We cannot let the terrorists put us in a situation where we can’t do those things. And the ways to do that is to provide what we think is an appropriate level of protection.”

Still, Mr. Bloomberg argued the attacks shouldn’t be used as an excuse to persecute certain religions or groups.

“What we cant do is let the protection get in the way of us enjoying our freedoms,” he said.  “You still want to let people practice their religion, no matter what that religion is. And I think one of the great dangers here is going and categorizing anybody from one religion as a terrorist. That’s not true … That would let the terrorists win. That’s what they want us to do.”

Was Boston Bombers ‘Uncle Ruslan’ with the CIA?

The uncle of the two men who set off bombs at the Boston Marathon, who struck the only grace note in an otherwise horrific week, worked as a “consultant” for the Agency for International Development (USAID) a U.S. Government Agency often used for cover by agents of the CIA, in the former Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan during the “Wild West” days of the early 1990’s, when anything that wasn’t nailed down in that country was up for grabs.

“Uncle Ruslan” Tsarni of Montgomery Village Md., whose name was the top trending topic worldwide on Twitter last Friday for his plain-spoken condemnation of his two nephews, has had a checkered business career, that began well before he graduated (as Ruslan Z Tsarnaev) from Duke Law School in 1998.

Tsarni, a well-connected oil executive,  is currently involved in an international criminal investigation into a Kazakh billionaire banker-turned-fugitive alleged to have absconded with $6 billion from Kazakhstan’s BTA Bank.

The story begins with The London Sunday Times on May 8, 2011, which reported the sale of the personal home of England’s Prince Andrew to billionaire Kazakh Oligarch Timur Kulibayev, who “controls that country’s oil industry and happens to be married to the daughter of its autocratic President Nursultan Nazarbayev.”

What does that have to do with “Uncle Ruslan?” Let’s take a look.

“Can’t tell your Oligarchs without a scorecard”

Headlined “Prince’s home in ‘laundered cash’ inquiry,” the story raised several red flags.

One was that the President-for-Life’s son-in-law had paid $5 million over the asking price to purchase Prince Andrew’s home, which raised eyebrows.

Red flags and eyebrows were raised still further, in these times of global near-depression, at the conspicuous oligarchic consumption (read: bad taste) exhibited when the Kazakh President-for-Life’s daughter-for-life Goga Ashkenazi celebrated her 30th birthday with a lavish party before the scandal hit.

Goga, who made her appearance in a Swarovski crystal-encrusted, backless lace dress, attended by Prince-for-Life Andrew, was  entertained by fire-eaters, peacock-feathered stilt-walkers, and a girl swinging on a trapeze pouring vodka into ice sculptures shaped like naked male and female torsos.

There was even a woman suspended in a bird cage (true) who was there to direct guests tostrategically-placed vomitoriums (alas, not true) strewn about the mansion grounds.

Enter “Uncle Ruslan”

But the biggest red flag, the one pertinent to murder in Boston, was Oligarch Kukibayev’s use of money laundered through a network of offshore companies to attempt to hide his purchase of Prince Andrew’s crib, which emerged during a legal battle between another billionaire Kazakh oligarch, Mukhtar Ablyazov, and BTA Bank, from which Kazakhstan claims Ablyazov embezzled a very cool $6 billion dollars.

And this is where “Uncle Ruslan” Tsarni comes in.

The purchase of the Prince’s estate was put together, according to prosecutors in Italy and Switzerland, by a group of oil executives who comprise “a network of personal and business relationships” allegedly used for “international corruption,” reported  The London Telegraph.

Tsarni, called “a US lawyer who has had dealings in Kazakh business affairs,” by the Sunday Times, clearly appears to be a member of that network.

The Sunday Times reported, “A statement by Ruslan Zaindi Tsarni was given in the High Court in December, claiming that Kulibayev bought Sunninghill and properties in Mayfair with $96 million derived from a complex series of deals intended to disguise money laundering.”

“Tsarni alleged that the money came from the takeover of a western company, which had been used as a front to obtain oil contracts from the Kazakh state.”

A Big Big Sky’s the Limit

The “western company” used to launder the money which the Sunday Times referred to is Big Sky Energy Corporation, where Ruslan Tsarni was a top executive.

Big Sky, which used to be known as China Energy Ventures Corp, is a now-bankrupt US oil company run by S.A. (Al) Sehsuvaroglu, a long-time executive of Halliburton, which had oil leases in Kakakhstan’s Caspian Basin.

Tsarni was Big Sky’s Corporate Secretary and Vice President for Business Development. He joined Big Sky in 2005.

A press release announcing his appointmentstated:

“Mr. Ruslan Tsarni, a U.S. citizen, has over 10 years of professional experience in oil and gas legislation and corporate law. Previously, Mr. Tsarni served as Corporate Counsel of Nelson Resources Limited Group as well as Managing Director of several of its operating subsidiaries.

“From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Tsarni worked as Head of Legal Affairs of Golden Eagle Partners LLC.

Big Sky was on somebody’s watch list

“From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Tsarni served as a consultant contracted by USAID for projects aimed to develop securities markets in Central Asia, where he trained corporate governance and corporate finance principals in state and private companies.”

According to a source who worked for many years as a journalist at Platts Oilgram News, a respected oil industry trade publication, good corporate governance was not a Big Sky priority.

“Nelson, Big Sky, Ablyazov, Kulibayev and the rest were all on my watch list for intelligence connections and pay-offs of various kinds at Platts,” stated the source, who requested anonymity.

The news corroborates other reports beginning to emerge about the family and its abundant connections.

A “connected” family?

Before the Tsarnaev family moved to the United States a decade ago, they lived in the northern Kyrgyz town of Tokmok, near the border with Kazakhstan, which is home of the country’s largest ethnic Chechen community.

The day after the massive manhunt in the Boston area that led to the death of Tamerlan and the capture of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Radio Free Europe and Kyrgyz Service correspondent Timur Toktonaliev traveled to Tokmok.

From there, he reported that the extended Tsarnaev family is well-known there, even beyond their local community.

“It is not known if there was anything more than a personal connection,” the story reported, “but organized crime boss Aziz Batukaev, who is also an ethnic Chechen, lived next door to the Tsarnaevs. Batukaev grew up and lived in Tokmok, but is now in Chechnya.

Halliburton executives, suspected CIA assets, Chechnyan crime bosses, oligarchs stealing billions from banks and laundering money with seeming impunity,  fire-eaters, peacock-feathered stilt-walkers, and a girl swinging on a trapeze pouring vodka into ice sculptures shaped like naked male and female torsos…

If there hadn’t been two of them, the investigation would already be pointing to a single misfit, a lone nut bomber.

7-Eleven robbery not related to Boston bombing suspects

There was a 7-Eleven robbery in Cambridge last night, but it had nothing to do with the Boston Marathon bombing suspects.

Margaret Chabris, the director of corporate communication at 7- Eleven, says the surveillance video of the crime was not taken at a 7-Eleven and that the suspect that did rob the 7-Eleven does not look like Tamerlan or Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

“The suspect in the photos for that particular 7-Eleven robbery looks nothing like the suspects,” Chabris says. “The police or someone made a mistake. Someone was confused.”

The suspects were at the 7-Eleven around the time of the robbery but they did not rob the store said, State Police Superintendent Timothy Alban at an evening press conference on Friday.

At an earlier press conference morning, when Alben described the manhunt and standoff that resulted in the death of an MIT police officer, he also said that the two brothers robbed a 7-Eleven.

Chabris says the story of the robbed 7-Eleven was online immediately and spread quickly. She has been calling journalists all day to ask them to make a correction.

Alleged terror plot targeting Via train thwarted

Canadian police say they have arrested two men and thwarted a plot to carry out a major terrorist attack on a Via passenger train in the Greater Toronto Area.

The two accused are Chiheb Esseghaier, 30, of Montreal, and Raed Jaser, 35, from Toronto. They have been charged with conspiracy to carry out a terrorist attack and “conspiring to murder persons unknownn for the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with a terrorist group.”

The two men arrested are not Canadian citizens, police said Monday, but would not provide any details about their nationality.

The RCMP accuses the two men of conspiring to commit an “al-Qaeda-supported” attack.

Police said the two accused were getting “direction and guidance” from al-Qaeda elements in Iran. There was no information to suggest the attacks were state sponsored, police said.

Chief Supt. Jennifer Strachan said the two suspects watched trains and railways in the Greater Toronto Area.

“We are alleging that these two individuals took steps and conducted activities to initiate a terrorist attack,” she told reporters.

Strachan said the attack was in the planning state but “not imminent.”

In a statement, RCMP said while they believe the individuals accused had the “capacity and intent” to carry out an attack, they believed there was “no imminent threat” to the public, rail employees, train passengers or infrastructure.

The two men are expected to appear at Old City Hall courthouse in Toronto tomorrow.

Had this plot been carried out, it would have resulted in innocent people being killed or seriously injured, RCMP assistant Commissioner Jammies Malizia told reporters on Monday.

Police said the investigation was ongoing, but declined to provide details.

Highly placed sources tell CBC News the alleged plotters have been under surveillance for more than a year in Quebec and southern Ontario.

The investigation was part of a cross-border operation involving Canadian law enforcement agencies, the FBI and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

According to a Reuters report, U.S. law enforcement and national security sources said the alleged plot targeted a railroad between Toronto and New York City.

The arrests Monday morning were co-ordinated and executed by a special joint task force of RCMP and CSIS anti-terrorism units, combined with provincial and municipal police forces in Ontario and Quebec.

The RCMP are expected to hold a press conference Monday afternoon to announce the arrests and provide details of the alleged plot, and give an overview of the extensive police and intelligence operation.

Law enforcement officials say the terror suspects arrested today have no connection to the two brothers accused of last week’s Boston Marathon bombings.

They also say there is no tie to the former London, Ont., high school friends who joined al-Qaeda and died earlier this year while helping to stage a bloody attack on an Algerian gas refinery.

Alleged plot recalls Toronto 18 case

Sources say the alleged plot disrupted by Monday’s arrests was potentially more dangerous than the bombings and hostage-takings planned by the so-called Toronto 18.

Police have made a number of arrests in southern Ontario and Quebec following a joint operation between Canadian and U.S. authorities.

Police have made a number of arrests in southern Ontario and Quebec following a joint operation between Canadian and U.S. authorities. (CBC)

That plot was broken up in the summer of 2006, when police arrested 18 people in a massive anti-terrorism sweep in southern Ontario.

Eleven of the 18 were subsequently convicted of aiding the group in various plots, ranging from blowing up the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill and the Toronto Stock Exchange with trucks laden with explosives to beheading the prime minister and other politicians.

The group never got a chance to execute any of its plans before being arrested when one of its members took delivery of what they thought were three tonnes of explosive fertilizer to be used in truck bombs. Undercover agents had replaced the shipment with harmless chemicals.

Four are serving sentences of 18 years to life in prison, while the other seven received terms ranging from 30 months to just over seven years.

More recently, three Canadian citizens were arrested in August, 2010 — two Ottawa men and a London, Ont. doctor — and charged with knowingly facilitating a terrorist activity.

One of them, Hiva Alizadeh, was also charged with possession of more than 50 circuit boards allegedly to be used as remote detonators for bombs.

The cases involving those three have yet to go to court.

BREAKING ~ Glenn Beck: Major cover-up of Boston suspect from prominent Saudi family by Obama Administration

BREAKING ~ Glenn Beck: Major cover-up of Boston suspect from prominent Saudi family by Obama Administration From “The Glenn Beck Program” (Monday, April 22, 2013 edition)

I think most Americans don’t know what to think, I think this is driving a lot of people over the edge. Take a look at this! MCB

Terrorism. Chaos. Fear of the future. In the age of Obama, America is undergoing a “fundamental transformation” – that much everyone knows.

But what few seem to realize about this transformation is that the sheer stress of living in today’s America is driving tens of millions to the point of illness, depression and self-destruction. Consider the following trends:

Suicide has surpassed car crashes as the leading cause of injury death for Americans. Even more disturbing, in the world’s greatest military, more U.S. soldiers died last year by suicide than in combat;
Fully one-third of the nation’s employees suffer chronic debilitating stress, and more than half of all “millennials” (18 to 33 year olds) experience a level of stress that keeps them awake at night, including large numbers diagnosed with depression or anxiety disorder.
Shocking new research from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that one in five of all high-school-aged children in the United States has been diagnosed with ADHD, and likewise a large new study of New York City residents shows, sadly, that one in five preteens – children aged six to 12 – have been medically diagnosed with either ADHD, anxiety, depression or bipolar disorder;

Exploiting the Fears of Terrorism

It’s easy to look back and see how we allowed the “Patriot” act to slip past us: we were emotional from the attacks on 9/11 and fearful and thereby willing to sacrifice the rights that make us American.  We were convinced that it was a different time, a time when the Constitution needed reinterpretation.  More than a decade later we still feel the effects of 9/11 everywhere: airport security has never been the same, war has consumed our lives, our military has become enormous, executive action has become an increasingly popular recourse; we have constantly been in a time of “great threat” since 9/11.  Around 3000 died on that day and a subsequent 5000+ fighting abroad in the wars since.  Perhaps the most terrorizing effect, however, is the credibility we have given to terrorism and the way that fear is now being exploited.

Last week in Boston, in a senseless and abhorrent act, terrorism struck again and 3 died and 170 or so were wounded (17 critical).   In an all-out manhunt, the city was placed in martial law and we threw any rights to freedom out the window to catch the despicable individuals responsible.  Upon apprehension, the one living suspect was not read his rights.
Real damage: 3 killed, 17 critically wounded, 150+ more wounded to some extent.  This is what threw our country into a tailspin.  Without getting into a passionate discussion on gun rights but to give this perspective, at the time of writing this blog 3,527 Americans (according to a NYT tracker) have been killed from gun violence since Newtown.  More than a 1000% fatality difference (even more if you consider the time lapse between the last victim of terrorism on our soil), yet it was the terrorist act killing 3 that spun us into martial law and a common sense bill that could not get through the senate.

We have been tricked into believing that terrorism is our greatest threat; it is not.  Terrorism relies on communication; it is a message that relies on us being scared of it and thus requires more credibility than it otherwise would warrant.  It is emotional, yet irrational; it is not the biggest threat and not worth giving up the rights that we should be enjoying as Americans.

The real fear from terrorist acts, then, is not the damage in blood spilt, which when put in perspective is extraordinarily small in comparison to other real threats plaguing our streets, it is the fear generated from the blood spilt, or as FDR said, “The only thing to fear is fear itself.”  We need to push back.  We need to let terrorists know that they will not scare us, but not by massive police manhunts made for CNN to appease the mob calling for a head on a stick, or massive invasions of foreign countries, or massive restructuring of homeland security posts, or absolute desecration of the Constitution, but by sending the message that a terrorist is, by itself, a small person; it is a person that only wields the power that we give it.  Terrorism, then, has to be a minuscule part of our lives, it only holds value if we give it value, but we must realize that we are more threatened by a car accident than a terrorist bomb.  Terrorists are nothing more than criminals; they’re no more a war combatant than a crack dealer on the corner holding up a liquor store—the only difference is visibility and thus the credibility we give it.

The scary thing is the structure of our society now allows something like the Boston terrorists to warrant a shut down of the city with hardly any dissent.  Rather than waiting a month, year, or decade to look in hindsight at all the rights we sacrificed when we were scared of the Boston bombing, we need to stop judging acts emotionally and judge them realistically.  It was a terrible act that killed 3 people and wounded several more, but lets not sacrifice our way of life over this anymore than we would if it were a back alley shooting or stabbing that did not get anything more than a back page article in the local paper.

This is far more than theoretical; the debate whether we should respect the rights of the citizen SUSPECT is already raging.   Senator Lindsey Graham suggests not, that this is a terrorist and the public safety exception applies—no need to Mirandize, go ahead and extract information by any means necessary.  Again, to put this in perspective, Lindsey Graham was one of the senators that voted against expanding background checks, presumably fearing infringement of rights (without blatantly saying it was playing politics).  So the lesson learned from what this senator has told us this week is that some amendments are binding, others are not, but we’ll leave that determination up to the government.  The right to bear arms is not to be infringed upon (to include any gross distortion of the meaning of infringement) meanwhile American citizen’s 4th amendment rights can arbitrarily be taken away should we (read government with consensus approval) deem the actions extra gross.  This determination of grossness, of course, is credibility.  But what about the Aurora shooter? He is getting a trial, he is receiving due process and he killed 12 and injured 58.  He even told authorities that his place was boobie trapped with explosives.  But apparently that was not a terrorist attack, that wasn’t a Muslim, it wasn’t a bomb; it was a gun so it was not a public safety exception.  But with a quarter of the fatalities Senator Graham believes that the public safety exception is applicable.  But how many deaths and injuries have been incurred by terrorism since 9/11 on our soil?  What about other crime?  We do not live in a time of great threat, we just have been convinced we do—the threat is just as significant as it was before 9/11.  These senseless acts will occur from time to time, they did long before 9/11 and will continue to long after; the power of a lunatic acting individually is that they can slip through the cracks—it will never be 100% stopped.  Fortunately reality suggests that we do not live in a world littered with these lone lunatics—very rarely do they manifest.

The real fear from terrorism is the repercussions of our fears of terrorism.   The threat of losing more liberties under the flag of terrorism is a much more real threat to us than blood spilt by terrorism.  Not affording the suspects due process gives terrorism all the credibility it relies upon to be successful.  It is visual, so if it is believed to be the greatest threat, it is successful.  The person who committed these heinous acts of violence needs this notoriety to send their message and Senator Graham is suggesting we give them exactly what they want.

Many Bostonians Love And Worship The Miltiarized Police State

The video and images depicting the havoc caused in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombing were undoubtedly a disturbing sight. Even more disturbing were the sights and sounds of Bostonians celebrating and cheering the capture of suspect number two following the implementation of a full-blown militarized police state in and around Boston. These mindless sheep were cheering the suspect’s capture despite the fact that the FBI and local police forces have still failed to produce any concrete evidence proving that either of the two suspects planted the bombs. Even worse was how many of these mindless zombies were cheering the militarized police forces that put the city under a state of martial law in the name of capturing a single 19-year-old young man.

It is a documented fact that these militarized police forces conducted warrantless unconstitutional door to door searches and restricted travel for no justifiable reason. These types of warrantless searches are a clear violation of the Fourth Amendment which guards against unreasonable searches and seizures. The actions taken by Governor Deval Patrick and the militarized police goons were unlawful according to the supreme law of the land and a misuse of government resources. Even after conducting these unlawful searches for hours on end the storm troopers still failed to find the suspect that they were looking for. Once the so-called lock down was lifted the suspect was found minutes later by a man who saw something suspicious near his boat after he was allowed to leave his home. If these idiots didn’t roll out full-blown martial law throughout the area and simply asked for the public’s help in locating this person, the suspect would have been found much sooner. This is just one reason why it is disgusting to see how so many brainwashed robots were cheering the police forces who conducted these illegal operations.

The state of martial law in and around Boston undoubtedly resulted in a tremendous amount of revenue lost for businesses in and around the area. Of course the stooges in the corporate media won’t talk about that or the legality and the wisdom of such a boneheaded operation. The reason they won’t is because the roll out of a militarized police force in the name of safety and security is now an accepted norm in America.

People just don’t seem to understand that operations like these do not guarantee your safety or security. As I’ve pointed out in previous articles covering the Boston Marathon bombing, there was a huge police presence at the Boston Marathon. Despite the vast number of police and security forces, they still failed to prevent the bombing. When one understands that the government has a historical track record of staging attacks like these in order to justify different agendas, it makes perfect sense as to why all of these security forces couldn’t prevent the attack. However, if we were to assume that this was a real attack that wasn’t sanctioned by official channels, this was a huge police failure. Of course we don’t see anybody in the media questioning the failure of the police to keep people safe do we? Instead, we see talking head propagandists calling for more police, more security, more searches, more cameras and other assorted bull shit.

What we are witnessing is similar to what we saw after the September 11th attacks when the corporate media failed to scrutinize the obvious incompetence of military officers who failed in their duty to protect the country. Instead, many of those people who displayed gross incompetence in dealing with the September 11th attacks were given promotions. Undoubtedly this was done to keep these people happy and discourage them from blowing the whistle on the countless anomalies that occurred that day.

The bombings have also presented new opportunities for re-emphasizing the worship of the militarized police state at professional sporting events. Worshipping members of the military and police at baseball games, football games and other breads and circus spectacles has become a quasi-religious experience for people ever since the September 11th attacks. We were able to witness this in full force at the recent Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park that took place following the capture of the 2nd suspect. A pre-game ceremony remembering the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing included a video presentation combining sappy music with images of American flags and police. Not surprisingly, the presentation drew a pavlovian like reaction of cheers and applause from the fans. Red Sox player David Ortiz would even come out thanking Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino proclaiming that it was their fucking city and that nobody was going to dictate their freedom. Perhaps Ortiz forgot that the same people he was thanking were responsible for putting the entire city under martial law just a short period of time ago. Footage showing the actions of SWAT teams forcing families out of their homes without any warrants or probable cause have been posted all over different video sharing web sites. Here’s a clip from CNN reporting on the specifics of the unlawful searches including how they were breaking into people’s homes.

The worship of police officers and members of the military being portrayed as heroic figures has become a national mental illness perpetuated by exaggerated media propaganda and fear mongering. Even though there might be a few good police officers who do their job and uphold civil liberties, there are far too many cases of the police abusing their authority and engaging in an assortment of illegal activities. Many police officers are nothing more than common criminals who enjoy bullying people around. People in third world countries already have a general understanding that the police are corrupt and shouldn’t be trusted but unfortunately it looks like most Americans haven’t quite grasped this concept yet.

FBI’s Track Record On Creating Terrorism Destroys The Official Boston Marathon Bombing Narrative

FEMA - 1560 - Photograph by FEMA News Photo taken on 04-26-1995 in OklahomaThe Federal Bureau of Investigation or the FBI has been manufacturing fake terror plots only to later claim that they foiled the same plots that they created. This is a historical fact. They have been doing this for decades and have greatly accelerated these programs following the 9/11 attacks and the official launch of the so-called war on terror. Is it any surprise that the FBI was in close contact with at least one of the two Russian brothers who have been accused by the FBI of being behind the Boston Marathon bombings? It shouldn’t be when you also consider that the FBI actually allowed the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center to go forward and did nothing to stop it. Accusations have even been made by Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols that a high level FBI source had been directing Tim McVeigh in the plot to blow up the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. So not only does the FBI have a track record of creating fake terror plots but they have a track record of allowing real terror plots to take place. With this in mind, the FBI has no credibility with their alleged ongoing investigation into the Boston Marathon bombings.

Let’s first take a look back at the FBI’s involvement in the events that led up to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. The FBI actually had foreknowledge of the bombing through one of their informants Emad Salem. Salem was embedded amongst a group of Muslims who the FBI believed were preparing to launch terrorist attacks. The group included Ramzi Yousef and others who would eventually be sentenced to prison in connection with the bombing.

In 1992 roughly a full year before the attack, Salem told his handlers at the FBI that the group was building a bomb. The original plan was for Salem to substitute harmless powder for the explosives but the plan was called off by a FBI supervisor who claimed Salem could be used better in other ways. Not trusting his FBI handlers, Salem recorded many hours of their conversations. The transcripts of these conversations clearly reveal that the FBI knew about a real terrorist plot but did nothing to stop it. The news of these transcripts was reported in media outlets including CBS News and the New York Times.

Moving on to the Oklahoma City bombing, below is an excerpt from a 2007 Salt Lake Tribune article regarding Terry Nichols statement claiming that Tim McVeigh was being directed by the FBI.

Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols says a high-ranking FBI official “apparently” was directing Timothy McVeigh in the plot to blow up a government building and might have changed the original target of the attack, according to a new affidavit filed in U.S. District Court in Utah.

The official and other conspirators are being protected by the federal government “in a cover-up to escape its responsibility for the loss of life in Oklahoma,” Nichols claims in a Feb. 9 affidavit.

Needless to say, the official story of the Oklahoma City bombing is littered with unanswered questions. The documentary film A Noble Lie goes over the mountain of evidence proving that the government had prior knowledge of the Oklahoma City bombing and participated in a massive cover up.

Worse yet, there is a substantial amount of evidence indicating that the government was involved in the attacks themselves. The ATF had offices in the Alfred P. Murrah building but ATF personnel were conveniently told not to come into work the day of the bombing. There were also eyewitness accounts and local media reports confirming that there were in fact multiple bombs inside the building. The only way bombs of such sophistication could have been put inside a secure federal building would be if the people placing them in the building were doing so under some sort of official capacity. This in of itself proves that the Oklahoma City bombings couldn’t have happened unless high level people in the government green lit such an operation. Amazingly, this just represents a small fraction of the evidence proving government involvement in the Oklahoma City bombings.

Since the 9/11 attacks the FBI has been involved in manufacturing a number of terror plots by entrapping a myriad of idiots and bizarre characters. What is significant about this is that these so-called terror plots would not have happened if it weren’t for the activity of undercover FBI informants. There are so many cases of this that it would be almost impossible to include them all in a single article. A book entitled The Terror Factory: Inside the FBI’s Manufactured War on Terrorism written by Trevor Aaronsondetails several cases of the FBI creating terror plots so they can later make arrests and claim they are making progress in the fake terror war.

Here are just a few of the articles that detail the FBI busting terror plots that they created in the first place.

From the FBI manufacturing fake terror plots to the FBI allowing real terror events to take place, the connection between the FBI and the now allegedly deceased Boston Marathon bomber suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev is highly suspicious. The odds that he and his brother were setup by the FBI are quite high considering the FBI’s historical track record in dealing with such matters. The FBI has still yet to provide any real evidence proving that these two young men were solely responsible for the bombings. All they have going for them is the mockingbird media repeating generalizations and lies that are not backed up with any facts or logic.

It is painfully obvious that the establishment is struggling to link these two men to known terrorist groups or offer a reasonable motive as to why they would use bombs against innocent people. The official narrative is falling apart and the FBI along with the assorted establishment agencies and corporate media outlets are losing more and more credibility the longer they try to sell this ridiculous story to the public.

Boston: Brothers Were ‘Regular American Kids’

Ruslan Tsarni, Uncle of Boston bombing suspects

Ruslan Tsarni, the uncle of suspected Boston bomber Dzhokhar A Tsarnaev, has urged his nephew to hand himself in. Tsarnaev’s brother was killed after a gunfight with police.

Tsarnaev arrived in the US around a decade ago.

Neighbours recall the ethnic Chechen brothers riding bikes and skateboards on the street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where they lived.

Former classmates expressed their surprise that the quiet, but popular and athletic brothers could be responsible for the twin bomb attack that killed three people, including an eight-year-old boy, and injured more than 180 others.

Despite having become a devout Muslim, Tamerlan married a Boston woman, Katherine Russell, from a Christian family and had a three-year-old daughter. Neighbours told the MailOnline that his 24-year-old wife had converted to Islam.

Dzhokhar, 19, attended the prestigious Cambridge Rindge & Latin school and had a place on the wrestling team.

In May 2011, his senior year, he was awarded a $2,500 scholarship from the city to pursue higher education. His success was even celebrated with a reception at city hall.

He attended the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, but the school would not say what he was studying.

The father of the suspects, Anzor Tsaraev, told The Associated Press his younger son was a second-year medical student.

“My son is a true angel,” he said by telephone from the Russian city of Makhachkala. “He is such an intelligent boy. We expected him to come on holidays here.”

He added: “They were set up, they were set up! I saw it on television; they killed my older son Tamerlan.” He ended the call angrily, saying: “Leave me alone, my son’s been killed.”

Dzhokhar’s page on the Russian social networking site Vkontakte says that before moving to the US, he attended a school in the capital of Dagestan, a predominantly Muslim republic in Russia’s North Caucasus. The men’s uncle said they had been born in Kyrgyzstan.

Dzhokhar describes himself as speaking Chechen as well as English and Russian and says that his world view is “Islam”.

Those who knew him have been stunned. The host of a Boston-based public radio programme, Robin Young, posted on Twitter a photo of her nephew with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, their arms around each other, at their graduation.

“Heartbreaking pic,” Ms Young wrote.

Tim Kelleher, a wrestling coach for a Boston school that competed in 2010 against Dzhokhar’s team, said: “He was a tough, solid kid, just quiet.”

Dzhokhar’s brother, Tamerlan, 26, who died during the police shootout, was a keen participant in martial arts and boxing, even aspiring to fight on the US Olympic team.

A local Massachusetts news article in 2004, quoted a boxer called Tamerlan as saying: “I like the USA. America has a lot of jobs. That’s something Russia doesn’t have. You have a chance to make money here if you are willing to work.”

Tamerlan, who was identified in footage of the bombing as the suspect in the dark baseball cap, was reportedly arrested in 2009 for assaulting a girlfriend.

A young Dzhokhar: remembered as a ‘regular American kid’

Despite assurances by former friends and neighbours that the brothers fitted in, Tamerlan wrote in a photo package that appeared in a Boston University student magazine in 2010: “I don’t have a single American friend. I don’t understand them.”

He identified himself as a Muslim who was studying to become an engineer at the Bunker Hill Community College and said he did not drink or smoke, because “God said no alcohol”. He said he hoped to fight for the US Olympic team and become an American.

Government officials said Tamerlan had travelled to Russia last year and spent six months there before returning to the US.

A YouTube user bearing the name Tamerlan Tsarnaev has posted a series of religious videos on the site. One extolled the prophesy of the Black Banners of Khurasan, which has been embraced by al Qaeda.

Other videos included those of the Australian Muslim preacher Feiz Mohammad, who preaches against the evils of Harry Potter.

His aunt Maret Tsarnaeva, who lives in Toronto, said he had recently become a devout Muslim who prayed five times a day.

She said: “He has a wife in Boston and from a Christian family, so you can’t tie it to religion.”

She said he had dropped out of university, causing his father great concern.

She said her brother had very high expectations for his sons, especially Tamerlan.

Before moving to Dagestan, the Tsarnaev family lived in Kyrgyzstan, a former Soviet republic in Central Asia. Leila Alieva, who went to school with Tamerlan Tsarnaev in the Kyrgyz town of Tokmok, remembered them as being an educated family.

Another 4chan Prediction: Now they’re saying the NRA impeded the Boston investigation! What’s next?

The intense hunt for the Boston Marathon bombers illustrates another way that the National Rifle Association helps mass murderers — by delaying how quickly they can be identified.

The inability to quickly track the gunpowders in the Boston bombs is due to government policy designed and promoted by the NRA, which has found a way to transform every massacre associated with weapons into an opportunity for the munitions companies that sustain it to sell more guns, gunpowder and bullets.

The price for such delays was put on terrible display Friday morning when the two brothers, who had been caught on video placing the bombs, killed one police officer, wounded another and carjacked a motorist, creating conditions so unsafe that the 7th largest population center in America spent Friday on lockdown.

But for the NRA-backed policy of not putting identifiers known as taggants in gunpowder, law enforcement could have quickly identified the explosives used to make the bombs, tracking them from manufacture to retail sale. That could well have saved the life of Sean Collier, the 26-year-old MIT police officer who was gunned down Thursday night by the fleeing bomb suspects.

Had the suspects in the Boston bombings killed by slipping poison into bottled water or canned food at a factory, or lacing spinach in a field with a deadly chemical, it would have taken only minutes to a few hours to identify exactly where that food was manufactured and how it moved through the food chain.  That would have quickly narrowed the search for suspects.

The alleged Boston Marathon bomber is awake and responding to questions in his hospital bed.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is responding sporadically in writing to questions from investigators regarding other cell members and other unexploded bombs, law enforcement sources told ABC News.

The 19-year-old shoved his pistol in his own mouth and pulled the trigger as SWAT officers and federal agents closed in on the boat where he was hiding on Friday night. However, instead of killing him, the bullet simply tore through his neck.

Authorities initially said they couldn’t question him because of the throat wound. CNN reports earlier today that Tsarnaev was ‘intubated and sedated’ at a Boston hospital.

The Boston police commissioner said Tsarnaev is in ‘critical but stable’ condition on Sunday - which appears to be a downgrade from reports earlier this weekend that his condition was only ‘serious.’

Boston Mayor Tom Menino had earlier feared that federal agents would never be able to interview Tsarnaev but it seems that investigators may already be making progress.

Police sources told MailOnline that investigators are looking into the possibility that Tsarnaev and his older brother Tamerlan had a suicide pact so that neither of them could be taken alive and put on trial. Authorities believe Dzhokhar likely killed him brother, who was handcuffed, when he ran over him.

A suicide pact could also explain why 19-year-old Dzhokhar ran over his own brother in his stolen Mercedes SUV as he escaped from the scene, the sources added.

Tamerlan was killed early Friday after a running gun battle with police. Doctors say he appeared to have multiple gunshot wounds, blast injuries and major trauma from being hit and dragged by his brother’s car.

The new twist in the story of Tsarnaev’s dramatic capture comes as the Boston police commissioner warns that he and Tamerlan were plotting more bomb attacks on the city and they were caught just in time. Authorities insisted that the pair were working alone.

Ed Davis said the bombers were flushed out of hiding when the FBI released close-up surveillance video of their faces and asked for the public’s help in tracking them down.

‘The news conference forced them out of their hideout and they decided to commit further violent acts. But it’s my belief that they were already manufacturing explosive devices. Further violent acts were inevitable,’ Davis told The Boston Globe.

New video also revealed the final moments of Dzhokha’s standoff with police. The images come from a thermal imaging camera aboard a Massachusetts State Police helicopter that was hovering above the dramatic police standoff.

Tsarnaev, 19, was captured by police on Friday night after the boat’s owner found him hiding out when he went to check on his beloved watercraft in that was parked on a trailer at a house in suburban Watertown, Massachusetts.

It is believed that federal prosecutors are putting the final touches together on charges against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and could filed them today.

The most serious charge available to federal prosecutors would be the use of a weapon of mass destruction to kill people, which carries a possible death sentence. Massachusetts does not have the death penalty.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick revealed on Sunday that surveillance video from the Boston Marathon attack shows one suspect dropping his backpack and calmly walking away from it before the bomb inside it exploded.

‘These guys did not have an exit plan after the bombing, and from they way they have both ended up it looks like they planned on never being taken alive.

‘Why else would this kid drive over his brother. It does not make any sense until you realize he also tried to take his own life. They had some sort of suicide pact worked out so they would not be taken alive.’

Police source speaking to MailOnline

The video clearly puts 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev at the scene of the attack, Patrick said on NBC.

‘It does seem to be pretty clear that this suspect took the backpack off, put it down, did not react when the first explosion went off and then moved away from the backpack in time for the second explosion,’ Patrick said. ‘It’s pretty clear about his involvement and pretty chilling, frankly.’

Tsarnaev reportedly lost significant amounts of blood after suffering two wounds. One was a gunshot to the leg he sustained during a running gun battle with police early Friday. Another was the wound to his neck.

CBS News correspondent John Miller reports: ‘They say it appears from the wound that he might have stuck a gun in his mouth, and fired and actually just went out the back of his neck without killing him.

‘That’s one of the reasons he’s unable to communicate, but he can understand what they’re saying. And they believe there will be a point where he will be able to talk to him.’

Law enforcement sources tell MailOnline that Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were determined not to be taken alive.

Dzhokhar was also responsible for driving over his brother as he was being handcuffed by police following a fierce gun battle in Watertown in the predawn hours of Friday.

The teen floored a stolen Mercedes SUV and drove it straight at the police and his 26-year-old brother who was on the ground after being seized.

The police were able to jump out of the way - but Tamlerlan was dragged for up to 40 feet under the wheels of the speeding car.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his 26-year-old brother Tamerlan ‘were going to attack other individuals’ —says Boston police commissioner Davis and says that opinion is based on the evidence at the scene and the cache of weapons the brothers had at their disposal.

The crush injuries are thought to have contributed to his death but police have yet to reveal an exact cause of death.

‘These guys did not have an exit plan after the bombing, and from they way they have both ended up it looks like they planned on never being taken alive,’ said a law enforcement source.

‘Why else would this kid drive over his brother. It does not make any sense until you realize he also tried to take his own life. They had some sort of suicide pact worked out so they would not be taken alive.’

Exactly what happened in the boat remains unclear. Neighbors reported hearing police SWAT officers unleash several bursts of automatic weapons fire as they closed in on the 25-foot vessel.

A police robot tore open the cover of the boat and a state police helicopter used an infrared camera to reveal Tsarnaev’s location in the stern.

Officers lobbed flash grenades into the boat in attempt to stun the suspect and called from him to surrender.

He later climbed out of the boat and surrendered.

After he was taken into custody, he was rushed to the hospital.

Many reports say he climbed out of the boat on his own power. The Los Angeles Times reports that Tsarnaev was swearing profusely in the ambulance.

However, Boston Mayor Menino said Tsarnaev was in ‘very serious’ condition at a Boston hospital after being captured Friday night.

‘And we don’t know if we’ll ever be able to question the individual,’ he said without elaborating. The suspect later awoke and is now communicating with investigators in writing.

Senator Dan Coats, an Indiana Republican who sits on the Intelligence Committee, said earlier that it was questionable whether Tsarnaev would be able to talk again.

‘The information that we have is that there was a shot to the throat,’ Coats said.

‘It doesn’t mean he can’t communicate, but right now I think he’s in a condition where we can’t get any information from him at all.

‘We are hoping, for a host of reasons, that the suspect survives, because we have a million questions, and those questions need to be answered,’ Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick said.

‘Boston Bombers’ Tsarnaev brothers: Where the dots won’t connect

(RT) After a dramatic and near unprecedented manhunt for the Tsarnev brothers – accused of staging the Boston Bombings – what appears most clear is that very little clarity surrounds the case.

The whole world is now rehearsing the exotic names of the main suspects fingered as the ‘Boston bombers': Tamerlan and Dzhokhar.  The two young men have been treated with ‘celebrity’ attention by the media as the public is struggling to define the motives and circumstances that led to their recent actions.

The younger of the two – Dzhokhar – is now in hospital with severe wounds he supposedly received from police after an extensive Friday night manhunt. His older brother Tamerlan was killed during the manhunt. He is said to have been wounded from head to toe when he was rushed into a hospital where he later died.

Also, he was reportedly wearing a suicide bomber’s belt.

The 19-year old Dzhokhar hasen’t spoken to investigators yet because he can’t. He is said to be ‘intubated and sedated’ with a throat wound. Boston Mayor Tom Menino voiced concerns Sunday that authorities may never be able to question him at all.

One thing remains unclear though – how the young man could walk out of the boat he was hiding in already with a throat wound that he is now almost dying from.

With Dzhokhar stuck somewhere between life and death, the FBI is actively searching for the two brothers’ ‘terror links’, scrutinizing Tsarnaevs’ contacts. However, so far there are more questions to the story than answers.

First, the ‘Chechen link’. Being ethnically Chechens, the brothers spent very little time in their historic motherland in the mountains of Caucasus. The reaction of the Republic authorities can be summed up as ‘We don’t know them, we have not heard of them’.

The former Soviet State of Kyrgyzstan was the family’s homeland for many years before the brothers emigrated to the US to receive a refugee status. Kyrgyz authorities confirmed the fact, saying they the Tsarnaevs left the country in 2001. While in Kyrgyzstan, the family lived in a town of Tormok, predominantly ethnically Chechen. ‘Kyrgyz’ Chechens were sent there on the orders of Joseph Stalin in 1944 amid the accusation – or pretext – of cooperating with the Nazi’s.

The Tsarnaev’s parents, after a few years in the US, are currently living in Dagestan, another turbulent republic in Russia’s south that draws a lot of active attention from the security forces. It might be believed to have some of the strongest and most conservative Muslim communities in the country but so far does not seem to have enough to qualify as a ‘radical Islamic breeding spot’.

When asked about the motives behind their moving to the US, the father of the family, Anzor Tsarnaev, said:

“Chechens are stereotypically not welcome in so many places. We hoped the US will be the place to leave peacefully and free from judgment. Now I see it was a mistake”.

Tsarnaev senior believes his children have been framed. He says it’s impossible that they could do something like that.

“I’m sure about my children, in their purity. I don’t know what happened and who did this. God knows and he will punish the guilty,” he said.

An RT’ team flew to Dagestan to speak to Tsarnaevs’ parents and neighbors. The psychological ‘portrait’ of the two brothers has little to do with what has been ascribed to them. Open and respecting, calm and friendly, the two brothers are described by people who’ve known them for some time in often the best terms.  The news of their involvement in the Boston bombing has largely been met with shock.

“I lived next to this family both in Chechnya and here, in Dagestan,” the neighbor told RT. “Their kids couldn’t have done that, they couldn’t have been involved”

A similar reaction was heard in outpourings from those who knew them in America.

“I’m in complete shock,” Rose Schutzberg, 19, who graduated high school with Dzhokhar told USA Today. “He was a very studious person. He was really popular. He wrestled. People loved him.”

None of the people around them had any suspicion something of this sort was cooking up. The only concern was that the brothers did not actually feel integrated into American society, judging by their comments made known to the public.

“I don’t have a single American friend,” Tamerlan said in a photo essay about his love of boxing. “I don’t understand them.”

Before refusing to give anymore interviews, the mother of the two, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva talked to RT and expressed confidence her sons were framed by the FBI, [LINK] alleging that they had been following Tamerlan in particular for at least 5 years.

“They were controlling him, they were controlling his every step…and now they say that this is a terrorist act! Never ever is this true, my sons are innocent!” the mother exclaimed.

It would be indeed strange to suggest somebody so closely watched by the FBI could have plotted terrorist acts without setting off alarm bells. The FBI, however, has in the past been accused of enticing socially-aloof Muslims into plotting a terror act and then ‘disclosing’ and jailing them, claiming they just saved the world from another villain (watch Fox News report). Could it be another such case that went incredibly wrong?

So far the investigation has failed to spot and track any ‘real people’ who could be helping the brothers in their plot.

“I think it’s limited to the two brothers,” Edward Deveau, the chief of police of Watertown, said. “Every information that I have been seeing, where we looked at Boston, Watertown, the greater New England area, is safe.”

Little has been gathered from the Tsarnaev’s online activity. The US media is sending panic waves that Tamerlan had been visiting extremist web-sites and was becoming becoming affiliated with conservative (you may read it as radical) Islam. However - there is again little proof of that in real life. For starters, the brothers are barely known in their local (or any other) mosque.

“The brothers were members of our community in Cambridge,” the head of the local Muslim center told RIA-Novosti. “They wouldn’t come very often and they had never expressed any radical views.”

Tamerlan is said to have set up a YouTube playlist that he labeled ‘Terrorist’. This and his visits to what is considered a radical source Kavkazcenter.com made the investigation suggest he could be linked to the notorious terrorist Doku Umarov. However, the website has denied any link to the Boston Marathon bombings that have been blamed on the brothers.

At the same time, Tamerlan failed to get hold of an American passport, instead obtaining just a Green Card. The New York Times reports his citizenship was held up because of an FBI interview in 2011 and not because of a domestic abuse episode - where he is said to have hit his girlfriend.

He still got married in the US – to Katherine Russell, who converted to Islam for him. The couple has a little daughter. Both the woman and the girl are choosing to hide out the media storm have at Katherine’s parents.

The US media speculate that Tamerlan started to cling to radical Islamist ideas when already in the US, but cemented his beliefs while traveling to Russia (Chechnya and Dagestan) in 2012. His parents confirm nothing of this sort, saying he traveled to renew his Russian passport and decided to prolong his stay.

“The command of the Vilayat Dagestan Mujahidin… declares that the Caucasus fighters are not waging any military activities against the United States of America. We are only fighting Russia,” the Kavkazcenter.com website said in an official statement.

Tsarnaevs’ father, Anzor, is confirmed to be en route to the United States to be with his remaining son in hospital and try to iron the details of his arrest.

Now, however hard the FBI is trying to connect the dots, they still hardly can. Two young successful friendly men, the joy and pride of their family, with no history of radicalism, all of a sudden choose to commit a terror attack. No ‘Allah Akbar’ calls, no radical organization affiliation, not a hint of hatred noticed by those close to them. Tamerlan leaving a family behind, Dzhohar just a regular teenager with seemingly common teenage interests. Their actions have not brought around any evident benefit to either of them.

Moreover, it has sent curses and sorrow into their families’ lives, especially back in Russia since the traditional Caucasus cultures focus on immense respect towards parents, where fathers and mothers are idolized and honored by the younger generation – and are expected to take responsibility for their children’s action no matter what the age.

Nobody is saying Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev didn’t do what everybody is saying they did – nor the police words of violent resistance to arrest which caused further fatalities. It’s just their action looks bizarre and illogical based on how they lived their lives.

RUSHING TO JUDGEMENT IN BOSTON

*

President Obama has repeatedly claimed that the Boston Marathon bombing was an “act of terror” and that its alleged perpetrators are “terrorists.”

It may seem pointless to quibble with this description: after all what could be more “terroristic” than setting off bombs at a peaceful sporting event killing three persons, one a child, and injuring or horrifically maiming dozens more?

But in fact how the act is described is very important in determining government, media and wider societal responses, including ramping up racism and bigotry against Muslims, Arabs or people of color.

There can be no doubt that the Boston Marathon bombing was a murderous act, but does it –– based on what is known –– fit the US government’s own definitions of “terrorism”?

It is important to recall that other, far more lethal recent events, including the mass shootings in Aurora, Colorado and the school massacre at Sandy Hook, Connecticut havenot been termed “terrorism,” nor their perpetrators labeled “terrorist” by the government. Why?

Obama’s changing descriptions

In his first statement shortly after news emerged of the bombing in Boston on 15 April 2013, Obama pointedly did not describe the attack as “terrorism.” The term is totally absent from his statement. He does say, “We still do not know who did this or why. And people shouldn’t jump to conclusions before we have all the facts.”

It was only the next day on Tuesday, 16 April, that Obama first called the bombing an “act of terrorism” after media had pressed the White House on the issue.

Last night, after 19-year-old suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev was captured by police, Obama made a statement declaring: “We will investigate any associations that these terroristsmay have had. And we’ll continue to do whatever we have to do to keep our people safe.”

In his weekly video address today, Obama reaffirmed, “on Monday an act of terrorwounded dozens and killed three people at the Boston Marathon.”

Official definitions of “terrorism”

The US government has no single definition of “terrorism” but the National Institute of Justice at the US Department of Justice points to two influential standards that are in use, one enshrined in law and the other provided by the FBI:

Title 22 of the U.S. Code, Section 2656f(d) defines terrorism as “premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents, usually intended to influence an audience.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) defines terrorism as “the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.

Both definitions of terrorism share a common theme: the use of force intended to influence or instigate a course of action that furthers a political or social goal. In most cases, NIJ researchers adopt the FBI definition, which stresses methods over motivations and is generally accepted by law enforcement communities.

What was the “political” or “social” goal of the Boston bombing?

Based on these definitions, what distinguishes a “mass shooting” such as Aurora or Sandy Hook on the one hand, from an act of “terrorism” on the other, is that the mass shooters have no political goals. Their act is nihilistic and is not carried out in furtherance of any particular cause.

So far, however, absolutely no evidence has emerged that the Boston bombing suspects acted “in furtherance of political or social objectives” or that their alleged act was “intended to influence or instigate a course of action that furthers a political or social goal.”

Nor is there any evidence that they are part of a group.

Neither of the suspects is known to have made any statement of a political or other goal for their alleged action and there has been no claim of responsibility. Obama, in his statement last night, admitted as much:

Obviously, tonight there are still many unanswered questions. Among them, why did young men who grew up and studied here, as part of our communities and our country, resort to such violence? How did they plan and carry out these attacks, and did they receive any help?

So why is Obama calling them “terrorists?

Since Obama has no idea why the alleged suspects may have resorted to violence and no one else has offered an evidence-based explanation, why is Obama already labeling them “terrorists” when he himself warned against a “rush to judgment?”

The only explanation I can think of is the suspects’ identification as ethnic Chechens and Muslims, even though there is no evidence that they acted either in relation to events in their ancestral homeland or were motivated by any Islamist ideology.

Obama seems to be going on the careless, prejudiced assumption so common on cable television: they’re Muslims, so they must be “terrorists.”

This may be the easy and populist way of looking at it, pandering to prejudice as Obama so often does, but it is irresponsible and violates official US policy that Obama seemed, at least on the first day, willing to observe.

How acts are labeled is highly political: recall the controversy over whether Obama was quick enough to label the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya, last September as “terrorism,” and the continuing demands that the government designate the November 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood, allegedly perpetrated by Major Nidal Hasan, as “terrorism.”

All of these cases reinforce the widely noted observation that acts of violence, especially mass shootings, carried out typically by white males are immediately labeled as the acts of “disturbed individuals” while the acts of a person identified as “Muslim” are to be labeled “terrorism” regardless of the facts.

These are unsafe assumptions and foreclose the possibility of full understanding. Moreover, by reinforcing popular stereotypes, they give new force to the anti-Muslim backlash that seems only to be growing stronger and more poisonous as the 11 September 2001 attacks recede into the past.

It is also important to note the contrast between Obama’s eagerness to label the Boston attack as “terror” and its alleged perpetrators as “terrorists” – without evidence – and hisreluctance to label last August’s mass murder at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin as “terrorism” despite the identification of the shooter as having a history of white nationalist and supremacist activism.

Perhaps the first serious consequence of labeling Boston a “terrorist” attack was the Obama administration’s decision to deprive the suspect who was captured of his constitutional right to receive a Miranda warning on arrest, a further thinning of the already threadbare pretense of “rule of law” in post 11 September 2001 America.

Could this be another “Columbine?”

Let’s consider another possibility. Exactly 14 years ago today, 20 April 1999, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold executed a carefully-planned attack on Columbine High School in Colorado, using guns and bombs.

The two seniors murdered 12 fellow students and one teacher before shooting themselves.

Like the Boston Marathon bombing allegedly was, the Columbine attack was carried out by two persons, and it involved some of the same methods: homemade explosives.

But the Columbine attack is remembered as a “school shooting” or a “mass shooting” – perhaps the most iconic of a sad litany of such events – but not a “terrorist” attack.

In his essential 2009 book Columbine, Dave Cullen tells the story of the attack in meticulous detail, debunking many of the popular stereotypes that persist to this day that the attack was meant to avenge bullying by “jocks.”

The evidence that emerged is that Harris was a clinically sadistic sociopath who had no ability to empathize with other human beings. Klebold was a depressive whom Harris was able to manipulate. These facts lay at the heart of what happened.

It is definitely not any more desirable in the wake of such atrocities to have a media frenzy stigmatizing all people with mental illness as potential killers any more than we want them to stigmatize all Muslims as potential terrorists – in fact people with mental illness are no more likely to be violent than anyone else, and are indeed more likely to be victims of violence. And contrary to popular stereotypes fed by the media it is exceptionally rare for Muslims to become “terrorists.”

What we do need is patient, serious and informed analysis: could the relationship between the Boston suspects be similar to those of the Columbine killers? What other factors are at at play? I don’t know, but I cannot rule anything out.

Just like President Obama, I do not know what drove the alleged Boston bombers. What I do know is that when the media and the government, egging each other on, rush to judgment, the possibility of alternative scenarios is ruled out and getting to the truth is harder.

If Boston was “terrorism” based on the little that is known, then we must be able to answer these questions: can only white or Christian males be sociopaths, or suffer from other mental illnesses that under certain conditions lead to violence?

Can only two white Colorado high school students act as a pair without “terrorist” motives? Can “Muslims” or ethnic Chechens, or Arabs never be subject to the same kind of conditions or analysis?

Surely the survivors and families of the Boston bombing deserve no less of an accounting of what happened than the victims of Columbine?

We cannot and should not rule out that evidence will emerge that the alleged Boston bombers had a political motive. But it hasn’t so far.

What we have seen is the usual rush to judgment that has left Muslims and many people of color once again fearing collective blame and the governmental and societal retribution that comes with it.

Boston Marathon bombings unleash a new wave of Islamophobia

It’s happening again: another collective freakout steeped in Islamophobia. The Boston Marathon bombings have unleashed the anti-Muslim sentiment that bubbles under the surface and always shines bright in times of national hysteria. The current wave of Islamophobia the country is perpetuating and experiencing–and it’s only the beginning–is the first since the Park 51 fracas in 2010.

The news that the main suspects in the bombing are Chechen Muslims will fuel the ugly hate that has intensified since September 11. But the hate was unleashed immediately after the attack, even before the public knew that Muslims were involved. How little is needed for the brash and bigoted side of this country to come out swinging against the “Muslim enemy” we have been been so trained to fear.

It’s very easy to see the most blatant manifestations of the ugly phenomenon of Islamophobia, which casts collective blame on all Muslims. The right-wing is always the place to start. But it’s also emanating from our mainstream institutions and figures, where it’s a little more difficult to identify the Islamophobia. It’s there, though. Powerful institutions and figures are focusing on Muslims and trying to justify even more animus and surveillance targeting the Muslim community in the United States.

Let’s begin with the easiest of places: the Islamophobic media. The New York Postled the charge on this front. In the immediate hours after the Boston attack, the Rupert Murdoch-owned tabloid fingered a “Saudi national” who was injured in the blast as a suspect. It turns out he had nothing to do with the attack.

The other easy place to see anti-Muslim hate is, of course, the Islamophobic blogosphere. Pamela Geller went from freaking out about the Saudi to freaking out about two innocent people featured on the Post’s front page to freaking out about a missing university student to finally arriving at where everybody else is: freaking out about the Chechen suspects. What tied them all together was they all looked “Muslimy,” the term Wajahat Ali aptly used in Salon, and denotes how Muslims have become racialized in this country. There was also Steve Emerson, the faux terror “expert” welcomed by AIPAC with open arms, who opined about the “Saudi national” on television, as Ali Gharib documented.

And then there are the anti-Muslim hate crimes. ColorLines has chronicled some of them. They include: a white man punching a Palestinian woman who wears a hijab in Massachusetts; and Latino men beating up a Bangladeshi in the Bronx because he looked “Arab.”

But how easy anti-Muslim sentiment migrates over into the mainstream. Sure, this form of Islamophobia is not as blatant as Pam Geller’s. But it’s just as dangerous–if not more so, since more people imbibe what the mainstream tells them.

The mainstream media is busy speculating about whether Islam played a role in the decision to blow up the bombs at the Boston marathon. I heard one reporter ask the uncle of the suspects whether they were “radicalized” in a local mosque, apparently not knowing that the vast majority of mosques in the nation are nowhere near “radical.” This is the soft bigotry the mainstream is engaging in.

Another culprit that has bought into Islamophobia, and therefore legitimizing it, is law enforcement. Return back to the Saudi national story. As The New Yorker’s Amy Davidson writes, “he was the only one who, while in the hospital being treated for his wounds, had his apartment searched in ‘a startling show of force,’ as his fellow-tenants described it to the Boston Herald, with a ‘phalanx’ of officers and agents and two K9 units.” Davidson goes on to ask: “Why the search, the interrogation, the dogs, the bomb squad, and the injured man’s name tweeted out, attached to the word ‘suspect’?” The question answers itself. He was Saudi. He was Arab. That’s enough for a lot of people, including law enforcement. It speaks volumes that the only injured person to have his home searched by law enforcement was the Saudi national.

Finally, let’s look at the man who runs the city that suffered the nation’s most catastrophic terrorist attack. Mayor Michael Bloomberg sought to reassure New York City in the aftermath of the Boston attacks. But he ended up exploiting the attacks for his own political purposes. At a press conference on Tuesday, he crassly said: “The moment that we let our guard down, the moment we get complacent, the moment we allow special interests to shape our security strategies, is the moment that the terrorists are waiting for. As a country, we may not be able to thwart every attack. We saw that yesterday. But we must do everything we possibly can to try.”

“Security strategies.” It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Bloomberg is referring to the New York Police Department’s tactic of spying on Muslim communities with no regard as to whether people are innocent or guilty of any crime. Don’t get complacent: stop criticizing the NYPD, the mayor says. They’re doing their job, and their job is to map Muslim communities, eavesdrop on conversations and catalog innocent people in police documents related to terrorism. And those “special interests”? That’s a clear as day reference to the Muslims who are fighting back against the spy program and to the allies who have joined them in that fight.

What Bloomberg doesn’t acknowledge is that the police department itself has admitted in court that their surveillance program has not stopped a single act of terrorism. Not one. Which begs the question: how can the “security strategies” Bloomberg is defending help prevent the next Boston? They can’t. But Bloomberg wants to justify a program that is Islamophobic at its core.

So here we are, nearly 12 years after September 11 unleashed a new wave of anti-Muslim hate. 44 percent of Americans say they have an “unfavorable” view of Muslims, according to a recent poll–and that was before the Boston bombings. How little has changed.

VIDEO: Bomber suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev appears to be alive, naked and handcuffed

BREAKING: Serious Condition of Boston Suspect Raises Questions About What Police Did and When
-
REPORT BELOW LAST UPDATED: 21/4/13

21st Century Wire

This is a real video. Was this the suspect Tamerlan in the video, or not?

If it’s not, then what is the name of this person in the video?

PREFACE: There appear to be a number of omissions and changes in the official story this week, some of which we’ve already exhibited here , here and here, and this is why we are asking this question about this video.

The following video below is a clip was just released via YouTube. It may have been shot on a hand-held camera or phone. It aired on CNN. We are told it also aired on a Brazilian television news channel covering the Boston Bomber suspect chase.

PHOTO: Suspect number one, older brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev – is this the man in the video?

This UNCONFIRMED video which we are told appeared on Brazilian TV earlier today appears to have been shot at the scene of the Boston Police Dept’s arrest of suspect bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev – the video clearly shows the 26 year old being escorted to BPD vehicle whilst handcuffed and not wounded, which in total contradiction to official reports which claim the suspect was shot by police and then run-over by his younger brother in a stolen SUV in Sommerville, MA.

Please bookmark and share this video, and do continue to ask questions about what happened on the evening April 18th and the morning of April 19th, 2013, so the public can better determine the truth of all that really happened.

Could it be the same Tamerlan Tsarnaev that Federal authorities and Boston police say was shot and died at the scene of a shootout?

Make up your own mind…

We found this video originally at YouTube Channel “Hebert D.”

CNN news also briefly aired this very clip yesterday, and also presented here in a different edit, but gave little information as to who was actually apprehended here. See the brief and somewhat ambiguous CNN explanation in this video:

UPDATE: Medical examiners rule out that older brother Tamerlan could have been run-over by SUV

Despite claims in the media which originated from law enforcement, Dr. Richard Wolfe, head of the hospital’s Emergency Department, could not see any evidence of this claim. The Boston Herald reported:

“When asked about reports that Tsarnaev was run over by a vehicle driven by his fleeing brother, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Wolfe said he did not see any obvious injuries that would back up that theory.

“I certainly did not see any tire marks or the usual things we see with someone run over by a car,” he said.

FBI interviewed Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, for possible extremist ties two years ago but found no incriminating information

  • FBI interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, ‘Suspect 1′ for suspected extremist ties in 2011
  • A unspecified foreign government had requested the investigation
  • Officials found no incriminating information
  • Both suspects are brothers from the Russia region near Chechnya and had lived in U.S. since 2002
  • Officials say the two were behind the Boston Marathon bombing that killed three and left 176 injured
  • Tamerlan was killed after explosions and machine gun fire in Boston suburb of Watertown on Friday morning
  • Manhunt continues for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, ‘Suspect 2′

The FBI revealed on Friday that they had interviewed Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011, after a foreign government alerted officials that he had possible ties to extremists.

Federal officials vetted Tamerlan Tsarnaev but their probe not produce any ‘derogatory’ information and the matter was put ‘to bed,’ a U.S. law enforcement source said.

The revelation is the first indication that Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his younger brother, Dzhokhar, were known to U.S. security officials prior to Monday’s bombings, U.S. authorities said.

The government that asked for the investigation was not identified but security experts have speculated that Russia could have issued the request, based on fears that Tamerlan had links to Chechen extremists.

Based on FBI procedure, it is likely investigators performed a background check on Tamerlan and discussed his behavior and international travel with other agencies.

CBS News believes officials would have called Tamerlan in for a sit-down interview and their findings would have been compiled into a report and sent to the requesting government.

Federal authorities determined that there were no conclusive links between Tamerlan and any extremist groups.

After the deadly attacks on Monday in Boston, the FBI released surveillance footage of the two suspects they believe were responsible for the blasts.

Officials say Tamerlan and his younger brother, Dzhokhar, refugees from the Caucasus region, were the men behind the horrific terrorist attack that took the lives of three and left 176 injured.

Tamerlan, 26, was killed by police early on Friday morning during a shoot-out in Watertown, Mass. His younger brother, 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is still on the loose and is being hunted down in  a massive search.

The mother of the two suspects, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, told RT America on Friday that the FBI had been monitoring her oldest son for being a ‘leader’ in a religious politics movement.

In broken English, she claimed ‘he was controlled by the FBI for 3-5 years. They knew what my son was doing. They knew actions, and what sites on the internet he was going.’

‘They used to tell me that they were controlling him, he was a serious leader and they were afraid of him,’ she claimed.

‘He never, never told me that he would be on the side of jihad,’ she said.

She said that he became interested in religion about five years ago.

‘The FBI, they were scared of him. They are afraid of him because he is a leader, he talks about Islam a lot. They were talking about my son, they told me he was an excellent boy,’ she said.

The mother issued a staunch defense of her sons and insisted on their innocence, alleging that the charges against them were part of a setup.

Dept of Homeland Security Suggests Defending Yourself Against Crazed Shooters with Scissors

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security recommends that people use scissors to defend themselves against crazed shooters armed with semi-automatic rifles (and very likely on psychotropic drugs; h/t Natural News). It’s very strange, but for some inexplicable reason, they don’t talk about how you could also, instead of relying on scissors, carry a firearm of your own and use it to defend yourself and other innocent people around you in such a scenario. I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t think to point out that option, even though the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America explicitly protects the individual right to bear arms! How odd.

V.P. Joe Biden is a bit closer to the right idea when he says to get a shotgun:

But it’s still very strange he doesn’t suggest people get a firearm more suitable for self-defense, like a semi-automatic AR-15 with a high-capacity magazine. It’s almost as though the government was waging some kind of propaganda campaign for gun-control in violation of the Constitution! But we know the government would never violate the Constitution! I mean, it’s not as though the words “shall not be infringed” in the Second Amendment are hard to understand or anything.

The best plan for reducing gun violence in the U.S. I’ve seen yet is Bob Wenzel’s at Economic Policy Journal:

  1. Abolish the DEA and end the war on drugs.
  2. Abolish the FDA and government involvement in drugs.
  3. End minimum wage laws.
  4. Abolish the Department of Education and end public school education.
  5. End gun control.

Points 1, 2, and 5 would be particularly effective, although I think it is an enormous oversight of Wenzel’s not to include on the list ending the government’s role of setting the example for criminal lawlessness, violence, and mass murder.
